Missha Lipstick - Luminous Color Lip Rouge in BE202 review

I own a good amount of lipsticks but rarely baby pink ones. Its because I am too cool to own any wtf. Nah I meant to say its difficult to find baby pink lipsticks that match my yellow undertoned skin, and especially hard when I am about NW30ish now (extra yellowness it is!). What do I do when I want specific shades? I look into Asian cosmetics companies. Bottom line is they target for the Asian market aka testing if the colors are nice on Asian skintone. I adore how all Missha lipsticks are very basic colors. It's easy to navigate what you want. If you want a baby pink, you will get a baby pink.

About this Missha Luminous Color Lip Rouge Lipstick in BE202...

Enriched with a jewel complex, mango butter and botanical oil that nourishe and keep lips soft, this lipstick is very moisturizing. While it might accentuate lines on the lip when first applies, it will become a dewy pigmented glossy finish after a couple swipes. The dewy finish lasts a good amount of time too. With the medium pricetag ($15 on the Missha USA website), I am impressed!

What are your recommendations for baby pink lippies?

Favourite Products of 2010 + Resolutions for 2011!

Today is the 10th day of 2011 and I hope you all are progressively making your resolutions come true. 10 is the very first number to round up in the number family and I hope to make today a little special by doing what 10 does on a daily basis wtf. I was never a person who would ask myself to change this change that. Hence, shame to me I never had any resolutions because I honestly didn't see a point in making any - I felt like if I meant to do something or was in urge to do something, simply and easily, then I would. Though this year is a little different, I unwillingly participated in the society work force, dedicating 30 somewhat hours a week to a job fml. It's not like I don't like my job. I have started working full time for exactly a month now and am loving the environment, people and how much I am learning everyday... but it's so different than sitting at home or going shopping everyday, and be able to blog however and whenever I want.

Things are different now, you know?

So this year I want to make some resolutions for once to keep things on track, since there are many more 'obstacles' fighting against my freedom. And I want you all to supervise this resolution newbie in making this happen aka I want you all to be apart of my life :P

Also as to relate to my primary purpose of this blog, I want to do post regarding my favourite products of 2010. For the sake of my blog I will not go into super details of each product but I will try to list the reviews I had on them if possible.

Resolutions for 2011
- master in snowboarding: as I tweeted earlier as a joke, I am taking snowboarding really serious this year. I am going to snowboard every weekend until I could do it in Aspen, then Switzerland.
- lose 10 lbs and become a hot girl so all my ex-es will regret if they haven't' already: Just kidding la, though I really wanna start dancing or kickboxing again or some sort of routine exercising to keep my body strong for snowboarding, and simply to stay healthier.
- grad school / work overseas decision: probably not going to have to decide until later on this year since the deadline for this upcoming September has already passed but I wanna figure out if I could get into Stanford or some ways to work in either Singapore or Shanghai... I don't want to stay in this East Coast weather if I was about to spend 2 years in school (after 6 years-_-).
- travel: not sure if I could do as much traveling as I did in 2010 since having a f/t job but will definitely try going to somewhere new if I could get vacation days from work.
- everyone stays happy, grateful and healthy!

What are your resolutions? And what were your favourite products of 2010?

Reviews + Selling: Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream + M Signature Complete Cover BB Cream

If you happened to read my blog for awhile you know that I was in Seoul couple weeks back. I had an amazing time and I didn't bring a lot of stuff with me because it was only a 3 week trip (and frankly I knew I would buy a lot-_-) So when I was at the Seoul Incheon Airport Duty Free, I was lucky to have the capacity to carry some cosmetics back. I love buying cosmetics at the airport, especially at INC, because they literally have everything and you know their stuff is officially priced and fresh. Unlike those random websites, I heard China now has fake Missha BB Creams :( So watch out for fake BB Creams, you don't know how long that have been put in the factories too.

Reviews:
M Perfect Cover BB Cream -
I am sure almost you have heard of how magical the Missha Perfect Cover BB cream is. It's raved by a huge number of bloggers and youtubers in the beauty community. I have done a review awhile back >> HERE and to read reviews on the official Missha USA website >>HERE.

M Signature Real Complete BB Cream -

Whitening+Anti-Wrinkle+UV Protection(42 PA+++). In additional to that, it's the newest BB Cream by Missha.

The pump is so easy to use

Coloration:
For both M Perfect Cover BB Cream and M Signature Real Complete BB Cream
no. 21
no. 23
no. 21
no.23
I have both no.21 and no.23 for both BB Creams. For your reference, I am about NC 20-25 and no. 23 fits me perfectly. I could also use no.21, but I would apply bronzer over it.

Coverage:
M Perfect Cover BB Cream -
The coverage is about medium-full. It helps minimizing the pores and my skin is smoother even after taking off the makeup. Besides, I always have severe eye bags and dark circles problem. Normally I would dab on more concealers on after applying foundation or other BB Creams. I actually like the effect of using slightly bit more of this BB Cream under my eyes instead of using concealer. So with a light dusting of loose powder on top of this, I am set to go. Missha staff told me the gray effect will dissappear once reacts with skin temperature) I am a NC25 for MAC and no.23 is perfect. I have also read reviews that this BB Cream blends right into the skin even on brown skin or darker skin tones. It gives a smooth finish.

M Signature Real Complete BB Cream -
See the difference? Focus on the under eye areas!
Left: absolutely nothing on my face (Gross!)
Right: A thin layer of M Signature Real Complete BB Cream without primer or loose powder
Left: Without flash
Right: With flash
The coverage is about medium-full to almost full. My skin is so much brighter in a natural way. It also doesn't have have the greyish tone of the Perfect Cover BB Cream does (though it disappears once in touch with our skin temperature). It has amazing coverage. I actually like the effect of using slightly bit more BB Cream under my eyes to cover those crazy dark circles and eye-bags instead of using concealer. So with a light dusting of loose powder on top of this, I am set to go. Since the M Signature BB Cream is targeted for more mature age, it's more nourishing and thus perfect for people who live in drier places yet wants that protection and full coverage that will last for hours without oxidation.

Application:
M Perfect Cover BB Cream -
It is on the rather lightweight side, and is definitely a lot runnier than Skinfood Cactus BB Cream or Mushroom BB Cream that I had a review on earlier. Smoothest and most blendable BB Cream I have tried. I was in awe this is probably my best experience of whats so called "a little goes a long way". I mean a looonnnnnngggggggg way. A bean sized amount is enough for the entire face (which my face is pretty big too lol). The sqirting pump is very easy to control. It glides on so smoothly, which is why I am so surprised by how much coverage it is able to give to my skin.

M Signature Real Complete BB Cream -

See from small to big amount of product. No problem!
Look at how blendable yet high coverage it it!
I have used it in the past 3 weeks and absolutely love it. It feels very different then the Perfect Cover BB Cream. To me, the M Signature Real Complete BB Cream feels more like foundation-y, even more pigmented but runs liquid-y, whereas the Perfect Cover BB Cream feels more balmy. Once applied, you barely feel it on the skin. Though for you who have dry skin, I recommend you use the M Perfect Cover BB Cream then the M Signature Real Complete.

Lasting+Oil Control:
M Perfect Cover BB Cream -
Stays put for about 6-8 hours, which is quite good. I have normal skin type while normal foundation and BB Creams make my nose shinny after a couple of hours but for this one it takes a long time to the need of re-powdering my nose.

M Signature Real Complete BB Cream -
A big difference! The M Perfect Cover BB Cream I usually put it on at around 9am and would still see full coverage at 5pm. My nose area stays matte all day long. Though the coverage is not as long as it claims (~12 hours), it has amazing anti-oxidation, unlike any foundation I have tried, my face still appear to be bright and supple after a super long wear.

Price:
From Missha USA website -
M Perfect Cover BB Cream - $29.99 + $7 shipping = $37
Get it from me for - $22 shipped

From Missha USA website -
M Signature Real Complete BB Cream - $45.99 + $7 shipping = $53
Get it from me - $35 shipped

Due to the limited space in my luguage, I could only bring back a total of 8 Missha Perfect Cover BB Creams and 6 M Signature Real Complete BB Creams... and of course some for myself as backups :P

I will do a demo hopefully in the next couple of days to show you the before-after for the M Signature Real Complete BB Cream.

Let me know if you're interested! Girls who can easily get their hands on these please kindly back off. I want these for people who live in places where Missha doesn't do delivery to or it's wayyy too pricey to get these products.

Oh and I forgot to mention. You could email me anytime at chiurinnie@gmail.com or just send me fun emails lol.

All I want for christmas is you... AND this and that and this and that!

*Super heavy pictures loaded

Apology for not wishing you all a Merry Christmas earlier! But you know, Christmas is supposed to be packed with family and friends gatherings. Nonetheless, I hope Santa has treated you all well this year... as he treated me really well and let me participate in all these gatherings :)
A Christmas Tree is a must for this festive season!
And of course all the presents!! *greedy
Noodle bowls in between the gifts LOL

Sigh! How much I wish my parents were in the States so we could celebrate Christmas together... as well as to fulfill my materialistic desires LOL. Just Kidding la! True that they would buy me expensive gifts but things I get in the past recent Christmases from others are sentimental and truly what I wished for!

Narnia book.
Finally! I got the picture book set before but those were too nice to get my hands on reading. I am really not a fan of books that use shiny and nice paper, nor digital one like the kindle. I like reading books that I could bend.

One Year Subscription of Elle Magazine!
Microbes - Common Cold
Look at how tiny it is on my hand Haha

Cashmere Scarf from Lord & Taylor
the color I don't have yet!!
Laptop sound is fixed! Sticker is off!
feels like a new one!

Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream Review

Specialties: Contains SPF42 PA+++, Anti-aging, Whitening, "Perfect Cover" up scars and blemishes

Coloration: This bb cream is one of the few cool tones bb cream I have tried thus far though once it is on it is not noticeable. I am guessing since most Asians have cool skin tones? It is one of the few BB Creams on the market that offer darker shades. (No. 13 milky beige, No. 21 Light beige, No. 23 Natural beige and No. 31 Golden beige*New) I am a NC25 for MAC and no.23 is perfect. I have also read reviews that this BB Cream blends right into the skin even on brown skin or darker skin tones. It gives a smooth finish.

Application: It is on the rather lightweight side, and is definitely a lot runnier than Skinfood Cactus BB Cream or Mushroom BB Cream that I had a review on earlier.

See how spreadable even from such small amount with such high coverage?
The bean size above is enough for the entire face including covering up blemishes and dark circles.
Coverage: The coverage is about medium-full.

Lasting + Oil Control power: Stays put for about 6-8 hours, which is quite good. I have normal skin type while normal foundation and BB Creams make my nose shinny after a couple of hours but for this one it takes a long time to the need of re-powdering my nose.

**This is quiet embarrassing and I don't normally show my completely bare face to anybody. However, I really don't want you to miss out on the magical effect on this product. I will do it for you >< Argh I feel so naked!

Completely no make up face.
Hands down the most serious problems
are severe dark circles and eye bags.
A bean size of Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream
is applied only onto the bare face.
Focus on the under-eye areas to see the differences.
No concealer but with makeup. Though my under-eye areas are still pretty bad, they look a lot more natural with this BB Cream than any thick application of concealer. I kinda like this better.

At first, I was very hesitant to buy this product as I thought the packaging is designed to target older women. But I am so glad I made the purchase. This is by far the best and most easy-to-use BB Cream I have had with the best coverage and finish. It is definitely a great BB Cream to try for the price. Most importantly, it improves the skin conditions unlike foundation or tinted moisturizers.

Thanks Missha for having such great product!

:D
