Dior Addict Lipstick Review & Swatches (561 Baby Rose, 578 Diorkiss & 865 Collection)

You all know awhile back then I attended a Dior Makeover (Read more Here) and have been loving my Dior Addict 578 (Also the color on Kate Moss) ever since. The texture is amazing! It's very glossy and moisturizing but at the same time very pigmented even though it's very sheer... if that makes any sense? It feels like a balm on but has the staying power of a lipstick. I figured I would showcase the sample I got which contains 2 more colors along with my 578 Diorkiss. 

Packaging - 

561 Baby Rose
a barbie pink color with fine sliver and gold shimmers 

578 Diorkiss
a pigmented medium pink pink with no shimmer (of course it looks 100times better on Kate Moss)

865 Collection
a true pigmented yet glossy red with no shimmer

I cant wait to get my hands on more of this glosses. I am in love with 855 Collection. Though it's red but it's such a pretty warm sheer red that can be easily pulled off! As I mentioned, the texture of this lipstick is amazing. Very pigmented, moisturizing yet sheer and stays on all day. If you hate getting your lips ready for lipsticks or carrying a mirror around to make sure the color stay put, I highly recommend you check out the low maintenance Dior Addict lipsticks! So easy to apply and with the amazing finishes - they are truly worth the bucks!

Dior makeover!

Guess where I went today? Yes, to a Dior makeover. If you have read my blog long enough, you probably remember I went to a Bobbi Brown makeover not to long ago, and that I love going to makeovers because I enjoy being pampered and dolled up without using my own hands wtf.

Nah but it was good testing out all the skincare and cosmetics products on my real face. My makeup artist Kathy called me in advance to NOT put any makeup on before. It made me feel like the end of the world - I felt so naked -_-''

 

Kathy started off applying some skincare products that I need beneath my makeup. The products I use are as follows:

Left: Skin Boosting Super Serum

Right: Protective Fluid SPF 15

Face:

Left: Diorskin Nude Cream Gel Compact in 030
Right: Diorskin Nude Natural Glow Fresh Powder Makeup SPF 10 in 030
It creates a healthy and light coverage. I like the fact that the gel compact doesn't make my skin oily (pretty much similar to the Bobbi Brown Moisturizing Cream Compact foundation that I used to own but with less coverage and no SPF )

Eyes:
All-in-one artistry Palette in Navy design
The palette itself is gorgeous and I like the fact that everything is included in the palette (shadows, highlight and liner) but I doubt I would use enough if I bought it. Its just not my cup of tea!

 

Mascaras:

Left: Diorshow Maximizer

Right: Diorshow Extase Instant Oversize Volume Mascara

Nothing is wrong with the products, but without curling my lashes, even better mascaras wouldnt do sh!t to my lashes -_-.

Blush:
Harmonic de Blush 
Love it on the pan, but don't think its impossible to find dupes. Rather buy a blush that I would use everything like my MAC Melba.

Lips:

Left: Dior Lip Glow (she suggested me to use my Lip Glow underneath - Review HERE)
Right: Dior Addict in 578 Diorkiss (the one on Kate Moss and Cathy recommended)

What I ended up buying:

1) Capture Total Eye Treatment: It has a metal roller plate for messaging. Fingers crossed it would work better than my current Skinfood Salmon Brightening Eye Massage Serum.
2) Diorskin Nude Cream Gel Compact in 030: Nothing super exciting or special about this product. I just missed my old Bobbi Brown Moisturizing Cream Compact foundation that I used to own but with less coverage and no SPF)

3) Dior Addict in 578 Diorkiss: Combined with my Dior Lip Glow, they turn into a bright bright pink. It's kinda ridiculous look but I kinda like it. HAHA

and what I got for free:
1) Leather makeup bag with mirror inside!
2) Compact with 3 shadows & 2 lip colors
3) Dior Addict samples (I know I will get more after I try them out!)

Dior Lip Glow Review and introducing my best friend

Dior Lip Glow with SPF 10

I have actually wanted the Dior lip glow for quite a long time now. Dior has always been my favourite luxury brand, especially when it comes to purses <3 However, for some reason, I am not so fond of Dior cosmetics. I always feel like their packaging is pretty but in a tacky way... and I don't like the fact that it's in Sephora -  I don't like shopping at also.

Anyway I was at Saks Fifth looking for a gift to buy for a girl friend and the gay cosmetics salesman wouldn't stop talking about this lip glow-_- he told me he could easily sell 20 of these everyday. He was kinda cute and sooo gay thus made him cuter. The packaging of the balm is sturdy and cute so I decide to pick one up for my friend but couldn't resist getting one for myself.

I am sure you all aren't strangers to this packaging.
I figured it would look so cute in my dior purse ^^

Pros:
- very moisturizing
- super cute packaging
- 'enhance your natural lip color' in 7 shades of pinks
- easy lip color on the go
- SPF 10

Cons:
- color is not controllable
- more pricey for a tinted chapstick

The complaint that I have heard the most about this product is the coloration. It tends to appeal to be an unflattering hot pink color for a lot of girls who have already red pigmented lips. For me, my lips are very pigmented too but THANK GOD it doesn't do that to me. It is highly balmy and moisturizing, and would add a light sheen to my lips and seal up the lines on my lips. It also contains SPF 10 which I need during the day (you should too, unless you want your lips to turn purple soon..) Overall I think its a great buy and a cute superficial goodie lol.

Last but not least, after blogging here for a few months and two giveaways, I think I am comfortable enough with all of you thus I think its a good time to introduce best friend to you. Her name is Gross Pimple, yup with her first name Gross and last name Pimple. She is such a good friend who always comes visit me the day after I went out drinking and didn't sleep enough. She always always likes to hang out in the center middle of my forehead next to my hair line.
