It wasn't so long ago since I dyed my hair with Liese Cassis Berry (Review HERE), the red faded several weeks and the blonde was brought out. It's time to get a new one - Liese Chestnut Brown. This time I didn't shoot for anything in particular, just an even coat of brown!
My current hair:
What it comes with:
Hair Dye, pump head, Dye Chemical, instructions, gloves, vaseline (own)
The breakdown:
1. (Optional) Put vaseline around my hair line to prevent from dying chemicals
2. creepily put gloves on (creepiness based on level of eye makeup & severity of eyebags )
3. Pour dye into dye chemicals
4. Turn (not shake!) up and down for the chemicals to mix up
5. Squeeze out foam vertically from the bottle
6. Apply to hair as shampoo
Wait for 25 mins and wash. Tadaa it's done!
It's slight bit darker than what I have now. The chemicals in this one is quite strong. For people who are allergic to dying chemicals might need to watch out. It is a nice medium brown color, not leading to neither red or ash tone. If you need to watch a video runtown, you can check out this post HERE.

If you have been a reader of my blog for awhile. You would know that Liese hair bubble dye has been my to-go self hair dye products for a few years and has never given me any disappointments. Its reliable, affordable and easy to control unlike gel or any other forms of hair dye of which I always made a hell of mess out off of.
I decided to try out Cassis Berry because similar to Sweet Pink HERE, it belongs to the Pink / Red Brown Series. You can check out the full color range from the official Liese website HERE or my review on Glossy BrownHERE andMocha Orange HERE.
Everything that comes in the box. Instructions, after-dye leave in conditioner, hair dye color, dying chemical, pump and gloves.
The manual is very easy to use. The box I got from Hong Kong has English on one side and Chinese on the other. Not only it guides you through the process, it also provides an example of how you test to see if you are allergic to the hair dye using a small area of skin.
A few goodies for dying hair (optional) | Vasaline Since some of the area like back of the neck or behind the ears are hard to be seen, it is always easy to mistakenly drop the hair dye on without knowing. Spreading a few thick layers of vasaline all around the headline can prevent hair dye by sinking into the skin too quickly, and is easy to remove since you'd be washing your hair anyway when washing the dye off. | Plastic Wide Tooth Comb It is also a great tool for any form of hair dye. It helps blend the color into any strands of hair evenly. It is also easy to clean.
One thing to keep in mind not to VIOLENTLY shake the bottle, all it needs is to SLIGHTLY tilt it up and down.
I usually like to apply the foam from the bottom of my hair. Make sure they are all soap evenly by squeezing and slightly padding the foam in. I then start curl up the hair to the skull. Due to the amount of heat that our skulls will deliver slowly from the roots, the foam should be applied later as the heat lets the chemicals penetrate faster.
Procedures |
Pour the hair dye in
Put the pump cab on
Turn the bottle up and down (do not shake!)
Squeeze out the bubbles
Of course, as of my other posts, if you're super lazy to find out how its done, feel free to watch this video. Demo forMocha Orange, same procedures, just different color.
Result after 30 mins? BEFORE
AFTER
Result after 30 mins? As you can see, Cassis Berry is a glamourous pink with a touch of brown. On my medium brown color, it shows up more pink than red. I'd say the color comes really close to the color chart from above! The thing I like about all Liese colors is that though they are vibrant, none are over the top bright, and are all very wearable. I find the colors might not last as long as if got it done at a salon, but affordable, easy to use, enough to use (I always always only need 1 box for my mega long hair - even when it was 10 inches longer than above).
Where to buy? If you live in Hong Kong / Asia, all Kao Liese Bubble hair dye are on promotions for US$10, and on top there is another 25%off if you buy two boxes. Cute color ranges too dont you think? If you live in the US or am an active Amazon user (like me!), you can also purchase this bubble dye for $15.99 with $2.99 shipping.
Hope you find it helpful! Life has been hectic and Im only able to keep up with twitter and instagram (Both at @winnietsuii). So don't forget to follow me :) Byeee have a marvelous weekend!
Ever since there a LUSH opened up at the station near my work place that makes the surrounding 100m square parameter constantly smell like LUSH, I couldn't help but remind myself my love for it. Sometimes there are reasons for products to be staples for a brand. And today, I would like to share a few LUSH staples that I am in total love with.
Ultimate Shine - targets Medium to dry hair.
As the name describes, Ultimate Shine makes the hair shiny after every wash. It forms up very well and is able to cleanse the hair keeping it refreshed without leaving a streaky feeling. It is my everyday shampoo and I love it.
"Essential oils make your hair shimmer, not the golden sparkles. We have fragrant ylang ylang oil to keep hair shiny and sensual; violet leaf to decongest your scalp and elemi oil to tone and calm your nerves, so you can shine socially, too. "
Seanik - targets medium to oily hair.
It has legit seaweed in it! That was what drew me to it at the beginning as Im a big seaweed fan. Oops, that sounds kinda strange. For a shampoo performance, seanik does not foam up as great as Ultimate Shine but it is such a great shampoo to give my hair a throughout cleanse once in awhile.
"Softening sea salt shampoo with jasmine, mimosa and orange blossom. Many of our planet’s most potent nutrients come from the deep blue sea. Lush has them brought ashore to create an ocean blue bar with protein-rich Irish moss seaweed, Japanese nori seaweed and sea salt to leave your hair soft and full of body. We added lemon oil for extra shine, and the exotic far eastern fragrance of mimosa and jasmine to bathe you in the heady scent of tropical flora." Besides, they look so good together sitting in my bathroom together! With a random seashell it reminds me of Hawaii every time I look at them wtf.
Anything I should try from LUSH? I am still a newbie when it comes to LUSH so please do let me know! Hope you all are having a great weekend xoxo

Sweet Pink is the color of my choice this time. I am not sure the exact date it came out but it is definitely of one of the newer Liese colors. You can check out the full color range from the official Liese website HERE or my review on Mocha OrangeHERE and Glossy BrownHERE.

Sometimes there is more bubbles but sometimes not. I am not sure if it differs based on the color, or it just doesn't have that consistency. This time I'd say I got a mediocre bubble quantity. Not the worst I have come across, but definitely not as the commercial has depicted (like crazy fluffy form, you know what I mean). Anyway, as long as it gets the job done, I don't give a damn (wtf, not sure where the anger is from...). The greatest thing is I really can get a head of even, true-to-color new hair color with just 1 box of hair dye even for my length of hair.
Above is the color after 1 wash directly under the sun. Pretty close to the color on the box, neh? If you wanna read more, don't forget to check out the full color range from the official Liese website HERE or my review on Mocha OrangeHERE and Glossy BrownHERE.
The product is widely available in Watsons, Mannings, Bonjour and Sasa if you live in Asia. You can get the product from Pretty & Cute for $15.97 if you live in the States (link HERE) or Amazon from below :)
