Stila In the Light Palette Swatches

Under direct sunlight -
Under shade -
Stila never wins my heart because of it meh packagings. It's plain and girly but not classic enough for my taste. However the new formula of these eyeshadows are amazing - so pigmented and wet, feels like Inglot shadows. It feels 100 time better than the eyeshadows in their Collectable Travel Palettes (Read more Here) I also love all the shades in this palette carrying a few most raved about Stila shades.

(Left to Right, Top to Bottom)
Bare - Matte Ivory
Kitten - Shimmering Nude Pink
Bliss - Matte Nude
Sunset - Copper Shimmer
Sandstone - Matte Neutral Brown
Campagne - Pale Gold Shimmer
Gilded Gold - Bronze with Gold Shimmer
Luster - Deep Gray with Gold Shimmer
Night Sky - State Blue with Silver Shimmer
Ebony - Matte Black

I cannot express how much I love this palette. I was comparing this to the UD Naked Palette and I love them both. The Naked Palette has an amazing range of colors but are of a dryer formula and contain a heavier sheen, whereas the Stila In the Light palette has such gorgeous micro shimmers that look amazing indoor and outdoor. I especially adore the only Blue shade Night Sky here, it's the perfect shade between Creep and Gunmetal from the Naked Palette. Both shadows contain about the same amount of fallouts. I guess it's a personal choice choosing between the 2.

Get this from Sephota online (Here)

Going to Inglot NYC tomorrow! If I don't see anything I want from Inglot, these 2 palettes are definitely going to be the purchase up on my list.

Favourite Products of 2010 + Resolutions for 2011!

Today is the 10th day of 2011 and I hope you all are progressively making your resolutions come true. 10 is the very first number to round up in the number family and I hope to make today a little special by doing what 10 does on a daily basis wtf. I was never a person who would ask myself to change this change that. Hence, shame to me I never had any resolutions because I honestly didn't see a point in making any - I felt like if I meant to do something or was in urge to do something, simply and easily, then I would. Though this year is a little different, I unwillingly participated in the society work force, dedicating 30 somewhat hours a week to a job fml. It's not like I don't like my job. I have started working full time for exactly a month now and am loving the environment, people and how much I am learning everyday... but it's so different than sitting at home or going shopping everyday, and be able to blog however and whenever I want.

Things are different now, you know?

So this year I want to make some resolutions for once to keep things on track, since there are many more 'obstacles' fighting against my freedom. And I want you all to supervise this resolution newbie in making this happen aka I want you all to be apart of my life :P

Also as to relate to my primary purpose of this blog, I want to do post regarding my favourite products of 2010. For the sake of my blog I will not go into super details of each product but I will try to list the reviews I had on them if possible.

Resolutions for 2011
- master in snowboarding: as I tweeted earlier as a joke, I am taking snowboarding really serious this year. I am going to snowboard every weekend until I could do it in Aspen, then Switzerland.
- lose 10 lbs and become a hot girl so all my ex-es will regret if they haven't' already: Just kidding la, though I really wanna start dancing or kickboxing again or some sort of routine exercising to keep my body strong for snowboarding, and simply to stay healthier.
- grad school / work overseas decision: probably not going to have to decide until later on this year since the deadline for this upcoming September has already passed but I wanna figure out if I could get into Stanford or some ways to work in either Singapore or Shanghai... I don't want to stay in this East Coast weather if I was about to spend 2 years in school (after 6 years-_-).
- travel: not sure if I could do as much traveling as I did in 2010 since having a f/t job but will definitely try going to somewhere new if I could get vacation days from work.
- everyone stays happy, grateful and healthy!

What are your resolutions? And what were your favourite products of 2010?

Stila collectible travel palette no.4 Review- make an impression in moscow

This is the fourth in a five-part series of the limited collection collectible palettes, the Make an Impression in Moscow palette features Stila's award-winning Eye Shadows in four trend-setting shades: Matruschka (beige), Chill (pale blue), Nadia (orange copper), and Mink (brown). The wintery palette also includes Convertible Color in Lily, a sheer, hydrating pink shade that's ideal for creating a naturally flushed, cold-weather glow.

"Certainly, travel is more than seeing of sights; it is a change that goes on, deep and permanent, in the ideas of living. - mirian beard" - ohhh how cute!
Swatches accordingly
My thoughts:
It is definitely one of the products that comes in handy for traveling. Its tiny bit bigger than my palm with a lightweight cardboard packaging that contains a mirror, 4 eyeshadow colors and a very versatile rosy pink color for lips and cheeks. None of the eyeshadow colors are in my opinion dead color, of which I usually would not purchase any palette that contains any (yup, not even 1 out of 20 colors). They are all very pigmented and easy to blend. Not to mention they stay put all day. The only thing I notice is that the shadows are actually a lot darker then what you look from the Sephora website so just to be aware of that. Lily - the lip and cheek color is not drying and pretty pigmented and frosty. After a couple of hours I could still see colors on my lips and cheeks. It is not a crazy color but definitely adds shine and a healthy glow on the skin and lips. This is my first Stila product ever and I am quite impressed with its quality! They are not the best eyeshadow but definitely worth more than $10 (!?) and make a great travel companion.

P.S. Sorry I meant to do this review a lot earlier but got caught prepping things for my new york trip over the weekend. I had fun thought something pretty ridiculous happened but I am so glad I am back safe and sound. I have bought so much stuff lately so more products will be introduced to you lovely ladies soon I promise!
