OOTD + Caffe Habitu

What's on me?

Reversible Fur Jacket: Miss Sixty
Printed Top: Free People
Purple Bandeau: Forever 21
Black Pants: Uniqlo
Flats: Steve Madden

I was so excited to meet up with a childhood friend tonight - I always feel like karma brings us together because in Hong Kong kids can apply to whatever school they want based on their academic excellence yet we went to primary and secondary school together.

Caffe Habitu

Pasta of the day - Meat Sauce Fettucini
Pizze Suprema
Temptation - chocolate mousse cake

Creme Brulee

Caffe Habitu is known to be pretty quiet at night near my friend's work place in the business district of Wan Chai. It was perfect for us to have a good meal while catching up. She spent the whole last year studying in Tokyo and I missed her so much. She has always been here for me, no matter when I am in Boston, Shanghai, Beijing or Hong Kong, or when she was in Japan. It's heart melting to know that we have both grown so much separated yet connected heart to heart and care about each other so much.
It's yet another meaningful day :)

Best Weekend Ever!!

Walking around HK + Best Friend's Bday Party + Sunday with Parents

Friday was a perfect day to walk around town as the weather wasn't humid at all. I haven't been in Hong Kong at this period of time (Oct/Nov) for 7 years and almost forgot how nice the weather could be sometimes in autumn! A good friend and I decided to have a walk along the Victoria Harbour (Yes! It spells all British in HK :P ) after seeing . Thumbs up btw!!

It's already extremely Christimasy everywhere in Hong Kong!

It feels so good to be home around this time!

In the morning we booked a place for indoor war game!! You are probably surprised why we would have done such crazy things but my friends and I actually met through a large range of sports in high school. We have so much memory rooting for each others' teams and representing our school. Thus when WAR GAME was picked among all other choices for my best girlfriend's birthday, I wasn't surprised at all ^^ It was soooooo much fun!!

Messing around and being silly at the place

I am the one in red!!
Wearing my friends jacket at this 'abandoned factory' scene!

**I had been so hyped up for this past weekend because it was my BESTest friend's birthday party. I hadn't celebrated birthday with her for 7 years ever since I moved to living in the US. I was so happy to get to see a lot of people that I haven't seen for years. There were a lot of planning involved but the effort was paid off really nicely! Everything went on so smoothly and everyone seemed to have a blast!

Let the party begin!!!
Great venue with a great view facing the Kowloon side and the harbour
Surprised her with a custom made Hello Kitty cake that's 3D and so perfectly shaped!!
Happy Birthday, sweetheart!
LOL great attempt for the birthday girl to try a hella strong Lamborghini

Group Pic! I LOVE YOU ALL!
Taking a relaxing day after all those intense activities with my parents. We didn't do anything special besides trying out an Indian restaurant and walking around Tsim Sha Tsui.

My dad's current 'pets':
unknown creatures but according to dad they are called 'Jade Snail' - my mom: wtf!?
Tiny shrimp!
One more week left of Hong Kong.. meaning one more week left of spending time with my parents :( I don't want to grow up! I don't want to live alone again! I don't want to eat dinner by myself again! ahhh...

How was your weekend, lovelies? Did you do anything fun?

What's on me?

Checker Shirt: Uniqlo
Black Furry Fleece: Uniqlo
Tights: Forever 21
Black Over-the-knee Boots: Hong Kong
Watch: Salad

More Uniqlo outfits will be shown because I just dropped $300 there this morning! I bought a lot of work appropriated pants and shirts. This is probably the only 'causal' piece I got I thought it would be really comfy to wear on a day to day basis. I also picked up the furry fleece to be a good daytime fleece and a night out furry coat that's much warmer than any coats I owned. On a side note, I finally purchased a watch! it is from Salad - a Hong Kong based designer that belongs to a clothing chain called Bauhaus. Their style are a lot like Miss Sixty and Killah but with much more reasonable prices :)

Kate Spade Haul

I went to the outlet mall to pick up a few things before heading home in the hopes of getting some souvenirs for relatives and friends overseas but of course mission failed besides dropping some bucks for myself :P

A clutch perfect for outings day and night, a passport holder to booze up my traveling mode & a small card holder when my continental wallet is too big to be put in the clutch.

me wearing the clutch purse :)
Please excuse my yellow outfit and yellow wall at home lol~
Kate Spade is one of my favourite affordable brands that provide good quality products. I mean.. rather than spending the same amount of money to get purses that EVERYBODY has from COACH, why don't we take a step back and get something more unique?

Celebrating X'mas with Kitty (Hello Kitty x London Exhibition)

Hehee one of my favourite things about living in Asia is that all the places are so accessible, at least in Hong Kong that is. Basically public transportations will take you to all the places and restaurants you see on magazines. The other day, we went to watch in Mongkok, a mega downtown area in Kowloon where is packed literally 24/7. At one of the most popular malls in the area - Langham Place - many Hello Kittys were dressed up in British attires for Christmas. Picture time!

The Face Shop Nail Polish review

Sorry for being gone for soooooo long! You probably know I am currently in Hong Kong visiting my parents. I got a job offer in Boston last week and made a last minute decision flying back to spend time with my folks before I get tied down by my first full time job. Please bear with me as I am super duper behind with updating my blog. I still have tons of products I got from two weekends ago in NYC and my layover in Korea. Haha if I knew I would be in Korea I wouldve have purchased so much stuff in New York. Anyway... here is my first review on the Face Shop nail polish.

I forgot to mark down the name-_- but it's a gorgeous black undertone shimmery color with pink blue green and gold glitters. I usually hate glittery nail polishes but couldn't get passed the smooth application.  Call me conservative I still don't like dark nails but doing a french using this color is just perfect for autumn when there are tons of outings!

Inglot Freedom System 10 Eyeshadow Palette Review

I have been dying to check out some of the Inglot shadows for the longest time. It was the 1st thing came in my mind arranging my trip to New York last weekend. I was out of black shadow and wanting to buy more neutral colors. After reading some many good reviews, I was so excited to get my hands on them :)

Little info about Inglot -
INGLOT Company was established over 25 years ago by Wojtek Inglot, a young chemist working at that time in R&D department in pharmaceutical company. His principal objective was to produce high quality products at fair and reasonable prices, using only the best possible ingredients and raw materials from the most reputable suppliers. Wojtek Inglot is still directly involved in the formulation and design process of all new Inglot products. All Inglot cosmetics are produced within the European Union and 95% of them are manufactured in our own state of art production facilities. We work with make-up artists and colour consultants to bring the latest trends in colour, texture and form to the market. We are constantly developing new products and have just launched the world’s first ever Breathable Nail Enamel ensuring better health care for nails whilst enhancing their beauty. Our unique Freedom System allows customers to experiment with countless shades and colour combinations of different face products, giving them the opportunity to create their own customized colour palette. We are present in 240 retail locations worldwide.

My 1st Inglot palette with the semi-transparent lid on :)
Inglot's innovative magnetic packaging helps you to stack your palettes in place relatively easy!
I went for the Freedom System because I could pick out every single color I wanted so no dead colors on my pan! I mainly went for neutrals tho!
Swatches only with a dab of color! Look at how pigmented the eyeshadows are!

Its located right at Times in New York
1592 Broadway, New York, NY
Even though Inglot is famous for their nail polishes, I just don't have that much of a desire to own a lot of polishes these days. The location of their store in New York is super convenient. Right at Times, and furthermore, it was literally 3 blocks down from the hotel I stayed at!

No wonder people say Inglot shadows are comparable to MAC shadows. For the price ($50 for 10 shadows) and pigmentation, nothing could even come close to Inglot's quality. I don't like collecting single shadows, whereas, I like to create looks out of one palette and this is perfect! I've got to choose every single color that I like and think would work for me and put them into one handy palette.

I highly recommend Inglot shadows if you're by chance going to New York or able to get them to try!
